Ethics Policies
Innovacion, Saber y Capacitacion Profesional adheres to the standards of good editorial conduct of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Some of these rules are detailed below:
Ethical practices for authors:
- The works submitted to the journal must be original, unpublished and without alterations of any kind.
- They do not simultaneously submit the same article to evaluation by several journals.
- In all cases, they recognize the people who have contributed to the conduct of the research.
- They explicitly state that there are no conflicts of interest that could have influenced the results obtained.
- They indicate any funding from agencies or projects from which your research paper arises.
- His review of the academic literature is always current and relevant, taking into account the different currents of knowledge.
- They deliver texts that are in line with the established publication standards.
- They collaborate in an agile way on the corrections and suggestions of the reviewers.
- The responsibility for the content of the articles published in Kipus: Revista Andina de Letras y Estudios Culturales is exclusive to the authors.
Ethical Practices for Reviewers
- They carry out a critical, honest, constructive, unbiased review that guarantees the academic quality of the research article.
- They notify immediately, if for any reason they cannot evaluate the article, either because it is not within their field of knowledge, or cannot comply with the delivery of the evaluation report within the established deadlines.
- They always maintain confidentiality about the authorship of the article to be reviewed.
- The evaluation reports are delivered in the review template provided for this purpose, substantiating the evaluations that have led to their decision.
- They indicate with precision the bibliographical references of fundamental works that have possibly been forgotten by the author.
- They inform editors of any similarities of the research article with other works already published.
At all times the evaluation is carried out anonymously. If, for any reason, the identity of the authors, their institutional affiliations, or any other data that puts the anonymity of the document at risk has been compromised, the reviewer immediately notifies the editors.
Publisher Engagement
- They evaluate articles on the basis of the academic merit of the contents, without discrimination of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, political opinion of the authors.
- Throughout the process, confidentiality is maintained with respect to the articles, their authors and reviewers.
- They are the most responsible for complying with the time for the revisions and publication of the accepted papers.
- They guarantee the selection of the most qualified reviewers to issue an academic, critical and expert assessment of the work, with the least possible bias
