Management Strategy in Higher Education at an Ecuadorian University

Authors

Abstract

Process management in higher education enables better knowledge development for the professionals being trained, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The objective was to contribute to solving the problems of interrelation among academic processes, scientific research, and community outreach from January 2016 to May 2018 at the Faculty of Legal, Social, and Educational Sciences of the Technical University of Babahoyo in Ecuador. Theoretical-level methods such as analysis and synthesis, induction-deduction, and the modeling method were used. At the empirical level, methods included documentary study, surveys, interviews, and observation. The experimentation method, the focus group method, the Delphi method or expert criteria, and the IADOV method of Neutrosophic logic contributed to the foundation and validation of the proposed strategy and the results achieved. The most relevant contributions are found in the implemented training program, the creation and positioning of the scientific journal "Magazine de las Ciencias," indexed on various international sites, the creation of a new model for managing scientific knowledge linked to the organization of international conferences, the approval of a research project for implementing a continuous improvement process and a quality system based on ISO 9001 standards, and the creation of the Latin American Association of Neutrosophic Sciences approved by the International Association.
